How to Restrict Background Data in Windows 10

Monitor your data usage in Windows 10:

Track and limit the amount of data used on your Windows 10 device. Because Windows 10 is a universal operating system, Microsoft has created a limited data connection between some of the data-monitoring tools for users (Limited Data User).

Desktop users do not have to associate themselves with the use of network data, but these tools may be helpful for tablet and laptop users.See how much data you are using

To view your data usage, you open the Settings menu and go to Network and Internet and click on Access Data. Here you will see a graph that shows you which kind of connection you have used in the last 30 days.

Under Graph, you can click User details to see how much data you are using in each application. You can see the amount of data usage of both Windows 10's own applications and desktop applications, such as Google Chrome, SPECTIFIC and Mozilla Firefox.
